Are Our Highest Officials War Criminals?

I have no love for al Qaida or any terrorist and I'm not sure what "rights" they should have if any. I also can't imagine what a horrible time it was after September 11th and the pressure on our government to keep the rest of America safe. The bastards responsible for those lives taken should be caught, tried in court of law and punished but until the Geneva Conventions or our laws are changed I expect our elected officials to act within the rule of law.
