From the end of 2002 the US spy agency had sources inside Iraq's weapons plants telling them clearly what the whole world now knows -- that Saddam had ended efforts to produce weapons of mass destruction.
Nevertheless in March 2003 the United States and Britain invaded Iraq to disarm Saddam of this non-existent arsenal and in the process triggered the effective collapse of the Iraqi state, plunging it into chaos and bringing thousands of deaths. by Jacques Charmelot
k.b.: Colin Powell was once a respected voice of reason who was then used by the Bush Administration as a shill for war against Iraq. A man's reputation destroyed along with thousands of American and Iraqi lives.
I don't understand how this President will get away with all the horror that he has brought down on others in the name of protecting us in the aftermath of September 11th.
