Our Nation Making History

Today in 2008 we have such a historic event happening in our nation's election history. A woman and a black man vying to be the next president of the United States.

What are their campaigns and the media concentrating on? The negatives that each has to offer the country because of who they are. What a sorry situation. Both camps better change their strategy. Put their staff on verbal lock down. Offer up the positives of this history making decision along with specific policies they have to offer for change. Hillary Clinton shouldn't be treating this election as an entitlement and Barack Obama shouldn't be campaigning as a rising star.

Why all the personal meanness? I see it right down to the level of the comments on blogs. We want a Democrat in the White House. The Republicans will drive a wedge any way they can and the Democrats are giving them a wide opening.

UPDATE 12:08 PM: I don't like what the media is doing to John Edwards either. Maybe we shouldn't consider him out of the race just yet. You may not like another "southern white man" in the White House but we should take a good look and listen to his proposals for this country's future.
